Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Katrina Gier Lewison on September 23, 2006:

Becky, we are going to miss you! Tyler and I sure loved her during flight school. She went to church with us, and was always willing to ask deep questions that many church-goers might ignore. She put up with Tyler's antics, and wasn't afraid to be goofy on our video scavenger hunts around Daleville, Alabama. She was a true friend to me, and let me know that as a woman in the army you should always give it your all and not let anyone hold you back.

Becky was always thoughtful and took note when everyone else was too busy to do so. Before we deployed, she sent Tyler a cross necklace to keep him safe. Now, 3 years later, Tyler hasn't ever taken that cross off. I guess it really has kept him safe.

Becky always strove to be different. She didn't just drive a camaro--she drove a purple camaro. She didn't just dye her hair--it had to be bright blond! She wasn't going to be an aviation branch blackhawk pilot--she was going to be med service, so she could help people. She went all out if she was going to do something. And that's why we loved Becky. She wasn't like everyone else. She brought a new perspective to things and made us laugh and smile at her "Becky" antics.

We wish you didn't have to go Becky. You really are going to be missed. We won't ever, nor could we ever, forget a girl like you!

Love Kat and Tyler Lewison
