Be Thou At Peace

Posted by CPT Brendan Mullen on November 23, 2004:

Berstein Family-

My prayers and heart go out to you during this Thanksgiving Holiday. Dave and I were classmates and he was a sharp young man---I vividly remember being selected to be Dave's project partner during our Plebe Year for some random project---and knowing that he would probably carry the weight of intellect into that project, I was totally pumped! I remember buying pizza and soda on the way back from football pratice and waited for him to return from swimming practice---he arrived----he was all Business! I basically cheered him on while he finished the project. However, what strikes me was despite both of us being so tired from our respective sports practices that evening, he wouldn't let me leave his room until he explained and taught me exactly what I needed to learn from the project and from the class. Classy guy and I'm so thankful for having the opportunity to know him. God Bless and Thank you Dave---you and your family are in my heart and thoughts!

Always Walk Tall
