Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Kristen A. Lewis on May 2, 2008:

Drew is somebody that I admired since meeting him at the Prep School in 1996. Initially I was in awe of his running ability and success in Cross Country. I guess that is why I thought it was so funny that he had a belly the last two years at West Point. I was thrilled to find that we were in the same company, H2, during Cow and Firstie year. I have so many fond memories of Drew. We spent many hours working together on our Computer Science thesis. And how could I forget the RV trip to the Army Navy game? I think Drew drove the entire trip. Drew was a person that I looked up to. He was so charismatic and personable. He was intelligent and articulate. He was a man of integrity. He was a friend. He was a true friend to my husband, Kristopher. Kris and I were honored when Drew was a saber-bearer in our wedding. When Kris and I learned in 2006 that we were going to have a baby boy, we decided to name our son Andrew. Since Drew was a friend to both of us, the name Andrew embodied all of the great qualities that Drew possessed, the same qualities that we wish for our son. To Drew’s family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
