Be Thou At Peace

| Kyle was a terrific guy and outstanding officer, admired by his leaders, peers, and subordinates. My husband and I served with him in Iraq with the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade. He was my husband's company commander. I wish I had gotten a chance to work with him myself. As a young captain at the time, I looked up to Kyle and was inspired by the way his troops looked up to him. They would follow him anywhere and do anything for him. At his farewell, about 15 of the warrant officers and NCOs stood up and spoke about him and each of them said he was the best commander they ever had. It was very powerful. We are all better people for having known him. He will never be forgotten. |
