My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Garner and the parents of Mark. My son was in the same convoy at the time of the explosion. The mental scars will be etched in his mind for life. My son was deeply, deeply upset over the loss of his Cpt. and he had the greatest respect and honor for your husband/son. Your loss is our loss. The entire Platoon has been changed forever. My son has a lot of issues to get through now as he was two vehicles behind Cpt. Garner. It is a time for you to grieve and know in your heart that you are an extension of Mark and all the good that he has brought to you, your families, and all of the great soldiers he commanded. |
