Leonard Mallonee Cowherd III

West Point, 2003

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Erich Atkins on May 18, 2004:

In all endeavors of my life I have come to seek the reason for events, but when I recieved the crushing news that my best friend Leonard had died I was speechless. Moments after the rush of emotions came a flood of some of the most wonderful memories I have ever had in my life. My yuk year at West Point I met one of the greatest human beings that I will ever meet in my life. His giddy smile, loving heart, and absolute caring for everyone helped me learn about the person that I want to become. If you knew Leonard in the capacity as a Trustee or a Phantasm you know his love knew no limits. Through Leonard I also met Sarah and Charles and his entire family to which the great memories continue to flow. I know in my heart that Leonard will live on forever in all those that he touched and his caring will know no end. With all my heart and love I will miss Leonard M Cowherd until the day I will join him again.
