| "Rip" Fagan was a 3rd New Cadet Company squadmate of mine and later a Company F-1 companymate. He came to West Point via the Prep School where he gained his nick name because he was totally laid back, always unrushed, and refused to sweat the small (and the large) stuff. We used to laugh when he would fall asleep at his desk while spit shining his shoes. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. His company mates missed him when he was turned out and found at Plebe Christmas. |
