Be Thou At Peace

Dear Mrs. Pena: My husband is a graduate of USMA'54, 50 years before your son. However, it doesn't mean that we don't grieve each time we are notified that one of these young officers have been taken from us. Although we live in Mexico, my husband is listed with the South Texas West Point Group and we of course are notified. I know that your heart is full of grief, but you are to be blessed for raising such a wonderful young man. Thank you for requesting that the motorcyle group ride for his last homecoming. Our son rides with the group in Arlington, VA to honor those who return in the same way as Paul. Paul is in the arms of our loving Lord. May he hold you in his same loving arms. We know other members of the class of 2004....some just returning to Ft. Drum this past week. Paul was a person to be proud of, and may those memories sustain you though this difficult time. We always stop in San Marcos, when we drive from Guadalajara to Dallas. We would be honored to stop and see you in April when we drive up.
