I knew Paul while he was assigned to the 508th PIR. We spent some time together in Qalat Zabul before he was reassigned to the Arghandab district. I will never forget his infectious smile and his manner of treating all of his Troopers with dignity and respect. As a young man carrying more of a load than many his age could hope to deal with he left a lasting positive impression upon me. Paul, I will take my son to play in your park. I will explain to him what great leadership and sacrifice means. Then, we will play and remember you. |
