Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mike Fish on December 10, 2007:

I knew Adam best in Glee Club. I used to joke with him about going to the gym with me because he was so much bigger than I was. We sang at many prestigous events including receiving a standing ovation in Boston at the Boston Pops (before we sang at all), performing Mansions of the Lord for "We Were Soldiers", singing for the Army Chief of Staff GEN Shinseki, singing at a benefit dinner in NYC for George Bush Sr. and Donald Trump. But, Adam, I think about those words now as I did when we sang that song...

"To fallen soldiers let us sing, where no rockets fly nor bullets wing. Our broken brothers, let us bring to the Mansions of the Lord. No more bleeding, no more fight. No prayers pleading through the night. Just divine embrace, eternal light in the Mansions of the Lord. Where no mothers cry and no children weep. We will stand and guard though the angels sleep. All through the ages, let us keep the Mansions of the Lord."

Well done, Adam. RLTW.

Mike
