Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Adrian Freeman on August 18, 2010:

John: This is our third year remembering you. We miss you and look forward to being on the other side with you. You gave all to protect us and we are thankful. We will NEVER forget.

You know, my dad was a tank commander in WWII, in the 737th Tank Battalion. He is up there with you now. He had several tanks shot out from under him. He saw his men killed as they exited disabled tanks. He fought bravely under the command of General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge. I hope you and he are talking today.

When I heard you were leaving the tank for scouting I shuttered, as did many, I think. But you were doing all you could to serve the mission. I appreciate that.

We miss you and look forward to being with you on the other side, on the new earth, where there is no war. See you there. In the interim, we love you and remember your value.
