Dan Hyde is one of the best people I ever met. I was his squad leader first semester of his plebe year. Honestly, I was a bit intimidated by him because he was much better than me at everything. Dan was one of the best cadets to ever put on the gray. I am truly in shock. This man is in heaven now, that I know. We will never understand why he died, but I know why he lived: to show us the type of person we want to be. He was a great leader and an awesome person. This is not right, but it is life I guess. My heart breaks for his family but know he is in a better place than any of us right now. I love you man. Anthony M. Costa, Class of 2005 |
