Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Rena Szymczak on March 20, 2013:

There are only a handful of people in my life who have had such a monumental impact on me and Sara was one of them. I have an immense appreciation and profound gratitude for her being there for me when I had nothing but despair and depression. I am now at a place in my life where I can proudly state that I have never been happier. I am also lauded at work, which is a loong way from the days of disappointing her. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for her support and talking some sense in to me. My success and happiness now is direct reflection of how her presence was pivotal in my life. She told me to be patient and to just hang in there and one day it will all be better and now I am so glad that I listened to her. Just two days before I heard the unfortunate news I thought of her. My 1SG wanted to send me to the E6 promotion board and I scored really well on my PT test and both times I thought to myself that her seeing potential in me and guiding me is how I got to be where I am today. I sincerely hope that one day I can honor her by having a positive influence on someone else's life the way that she did for me.
