Be Thou At Peace

| My son, Ben White, is a yuk and told me of your tragedy last night when I spoke to him by phone. He felt very sad as a fellow cadet. I cannot think of words to adequately express my sorrow and heartbreak for you as parents and your family. All I can say is the pride and happiness you must have had for Mitchel in the road he chose to follow because we know it wasn't an easy one. He chose a path that required great self-discipline and self-sacrifice because of very high goals. This set him apart as it does the many young people who chose USMA. Truly a bright light in your life and many others is gone. I just pray for God's strength to see you and sustain you through this darkness. In Christ, Melinda |
