Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Anita L. Culosi on May 2, 2010:

To The Corma Family...I do not know you...but I offer you...my most sincere condolences...and heartfelt sympathy...on the loss of your dear son...Salvatore.

I am married to a Salvatore, a 1964 West Point grad...I lost a NYS Trooper brother...in 1961, also named Salvatore...and my own son Salvatore...who was named after his uncle...was killed in 2006. Both were young men...with bright futures...still ahead of them...just like your son.

When I read your sons name...on the forum site...it just touched my heart. The name is a beautiful one...and holds very special meaning...Savior. Any Sal I have ever known... has always been...an intelligent...kind...loving...and decent human being...just as I am sure...your son was...too.

I will keep your son...in my daily prayers...along with my own wonderful Sals...who were...like your son...also called back home...by God...much too young...and much too soon.

This is a devastating loss...a parents worst nightmare. I know your grief...and there are no words of comfort...just the understanding...of other parents...who also are walking this path.

Remember Life is Eternal; and Love is Immortal; and Death is only a Horizon; and a Horizon is Nothing, Save the Limit of our Sight. Rely on your faith...and trust in Gods promise...that one day...we all will be reunited again.

Eternal rest grant unto the soul of 1LT Salvatore Simplicio Corma O Lord, may Your perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

His sacrifice will not be forgotten...and may God...bestow on this family...the graces they will need...while taking one day at a time...in grieving the loss...of their very loved son.

God Bless you Sal...as you keep watch...over your loved ones.
