My heart is very heavy as I have looked into the eyes of your awesome son. I have read what people who knew him have said and am saddened that such an incredible person has been taken away from us and from his family. I know you are very proud of all he accomplished, but, it seems that more importantly you are very proud of his strong inner character and the true person that he was. This is a sobering thing for all parents to face as we are watching our sons and daughters serve in such a self-less way willing to pay the ultimate price. Many people live long lives only for themselves and full of regrets. His was a short life...well-lived. I know he will not be forgotten. |
