The hardest thing I have done since being the mom of a West Point cadet is visiting these eulogy pages. Every time I take a long time to look into the eyes of the very accomplished, proud, and awesome Firstie... an individual with unlimited potential... yet also representing the face of all our sons and daughters. Truly America's finest. This side of heaven I will never understand "why". I grieve with family and friends. I humbly offer my "thank you". I rejoice in a life well-lived. Some live 80 years and never understand what it is like to live for a cause greater than one's self. |
