Daren, I can honestly say you had one of the best personalities of anyone I've ever met. It was that personality that helped me get through Firstie year. I was thrown into that CO position last minute, and you were there to help me every step of the way. Lord knows I wouldn't have made it through all those parades and drill without you next to me, as terrible as I was! I feel so lucky to not only have worked with you, but to have called you a friend. You were constantly there as someone I could lean on, commiserate with, and share the ups and downs of cadet life...so thank you. I can't remember a single time when you didn't have a smile on your face and were joking around; you were always able to cheer anyone up. I'm sure that as an officer you imparted that same spirit upon your soldiers. You will be deeply missed by all who knew you. Know too that the rest of '09 is out there carrying on for you and you will not be forgotten. Love always, Jess F4 '09 |
