As Daren's racquetball coach for three of his four years at WP, I had the privilege of spending a ton of time with him. What i remember most about those times was the infectious smile that he always brought with him. He was such a joy to be around. We had Daren over to our house on numerous occasions for dinner, movies, and even a few nights when he crashed on our couch. He would play with our kids and always had them smiling. It was an honor to have known him. I'm a better person for it. He enriched not only my life, but the lives of so many around him. This country is diminished by his loss, for there are very people who can equal his stature. He was the best of the best. I can only hope that my children grow up to be like him. |
