Tim, Another year gone, and I still remember the day you rendered my first salute... and the day years later that I saw your photo on the wall of the RAOC in Kandahar when you were part of 3 BCT, 10th Mountain. I am now at JBLM, WA as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment - I think you would have been well suited for this organization; some guys here would actually give you a physical fitness challenge! This past weekend we celebrate the Day of Our Heroes, the day we remember the service and sacrifice of those that have perished on the battlefield as they carry the banner of freedom in their hearts. Though you are gone, your memory is not forgotten. I want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to this country and to the Army. Those that have come and gone before us are the reason for the American strength and that we continue to stand for Freedom. I rest well knowing that men like you are looking over us, keeping us safe, giving us light when it is dark, and guiding us when we are too blind to see. Rest well, Brother. -Adam |
