Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Amber Cross on August 8, 2012:

No words could ever be thought, spoken or written that would comfort us in this difficult time - but there are a few things that might give us some sense of solace and peace.

Todd died doing something he loved and something that he believed in wholeheartedly. He chose to serve his country and he was very good at it. Everyone who knew Todd was proud of the sacrifices he made and the respect he had for his work.

If there is such a thing as heaven - I believe Todd's grandparents, his aunt and especially his mother met him there and we know he will never want for anything anymore - for he is there with those who have gone before him.

I didn't have the pleasure in this life to have a biological brother. Todd filled that place and he did it very well. I'll never forget his smile, his humor and most of all - I'll never forget the tremendous amount of respect and honor he had for this life and for others - and he doubly deserved the respect and honor we feel for him.

Rest in peace, Todd. Until we meet again.
