To John's family: Words cannot express my feelings because I do not know what to say. Just wanted to let you know that your grief is shared. My class lost two members in an auto accident during the spring of firstie year. One of them was a beast squadmate. Their names surface in conversations at each and every reunion for reasons that are much the same as the way that John is remembered by his classmates in the notes that I read.......his smile, his willingness to help others, his enthusiasm, his way of facing tough times. Our class has also given memorial items to the families of classmates we have lost. The momentoes are presented by groups of classmates who represent the rest of the class. It has become a special thing for us. I encourage you to keep in touch with John's friends.......and encourage John's friends to keep in touch with you. God bless us all. '68 grad |
