Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Joe Mroszczyk on February 3, 2002:
I never thought that one person that I knew so briefly could have such a profound impact on me. I sat today after the rush of the weekend had subsided and just thought about Anthony. I thought of being in his lab group in Physics and how he would make the class fun even though it is the most unbearable stuff to deal with. He was always tired during lab from all the activities he was involved in but he still managed to keep a sense of humor about it when Maj. Jakes would come and harrass us to get working. I cried as I remembered how during Air Force week (Maj. Jakes is in the Air Force) Anthony changed one of the slides on Maj. Jake's slide show to "Go Army Beat Air Force" as Maj. Jakes was talking to someone else about was on the other slide. I've had quite a few people close to me leave this world before I was ready, but no matter how many people pass in my life it never gets any easier. Instead, I've found that I've gained respect for life through their's. Anthony will never be forgotton, and what we can take from him is something that is so important, and that is just how precious life is. You were a brother to us all Anthony, and we will miss you. -Joe
