Be Thou At Peace
Posted by James Leidenberg on February 3, 2002:
My Dear Friends,
In memory of our lost friend and classmate, I've written something in this sadness. I'm sure it can't compare to the pain of those who knew Biggles well. May God Bless and Keep you all, and in his Grace and Goodness, May his family and closest friends find peace.
You and the Long Gray Line by: James Leidenberg, '04
In Memory of Anthony B. Miller, West Point Class of 2004 Born: July 27, 1981, Temple Hills, MD Died: February 1, 2002 West Point, NY
You may think that I've left you, But Remember the times we had. I know that you will soon join me, In the ever growing Long Gray Line.
Reach into your hearts and fear not. It is a step we must come to bear. Join hands now and take part, In this ever growing Long Gray Line.
It starts with those before us. I now stand closer to them. They've prepared the way before me, Welcoming me to the Long Gray Line.
The games we played and fought. The times we laughed and cried. Never think that I lost the fight, Rather I've joined the Long Gray Line.
Those names of forgotten soldiers. They are never forgotten here. In harmony we sing aloud, The Corps, The Corps, and The Corps
It is true the Long Gray Line stretches, Through the years of centuries told. Now I take my place in its presence, In the grip of its far off hold.
The message that I'm sending, Take it with you tonight. I'm waiting here with open arms, For you and the Long Gray Line.
