Be Thou At Peace
Posted by A friend... on February 3, 2002:
Just the other day, Anthony bumped into me in the hall and said, "Ya know, I never really see you around any more, are you doing ok?" That was the last time I talked to him. I knew him through other people and he was good friends with my roommate, so he was always around. I remember when he came to both of us for help in passing math just this past semester. He made us laugh by saying he really had no clue what had gone on in that class the entire last semester. Although there's many times and memories I'll hold close to my heart about Anthony, I think the most precious will be of his personality. He always had an awesome smile on his face, no matter what was going on. He always had a way of bringing you up when you were down. His smile and attitude were infectious and he truely touched the lives of everyone around him.
As a fellow teammate on the track team, I witnessed him running to vicory many times. Our team will never forget his dedication and livelyhood. He brought that extra something down to practice every day, no matter how hard the workout was, he always carried his head high and worked hard. We will all miss him terribly and carry him in our hearts as we compete.
He will be in my thoughts and his family will be in my prayers. We're all thinking about you and we all miss you more than you'll ever know. You were loved by so many people, and I feel incredibly special to have known you and to have my life touched by you. You will never be forgotten.
"In my Father's house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would not have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." -John 14:2-3
Rest in Peace.......
