Be Thou At Peace
Posted by AJ Kuen on February 3, 2002:
Anthony Miller was my friend and roommate 2nd semester of plebe year. We laughed together about many things here at West Point. He used to pick me up when I was down and made me laugh. We were also in the same Beast Platoon together and he used to make me laugh like crazy then too. During the academic year, in the beginning he joked with me and said, "we cannot be friends until you room with me." I used to always laugh about that. Finally 2nd semester we roomed together and he said that we could finally be friends, and we laughed. He used to stay up late all the time and I would always say "go to bed, you are never going to be able to get up in the morning." He always told me how much he loved to paly football and that was wear he could always be himself completely and nothing would bother him while he was playing. He was like a brother to me in a way. He looked out for me and I looked out for him. We talked about everything together, from school to girlfriends to simply joking around. Most implortantly is when we talked about our faiths in the Lord. We used to go to Bible study in Paul Henderson's room before taps during the end of the semester. Sometimes I would say I was busy, but he said I better go and I went. I believe that right now he is looking down at all of us from Heaven and he is happy with the Lord.
