Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Lindsay Duquette on February 4, 2002:
Being a plebe in Company G-1, I never really got to know or become friends with most of the upperclassmen, but CPL Miller made time to get to know me and many of my classmates. Some of his friends lived on the same floor as I did last semester and he would always make a point to pop is head in and say "hi" or joke around with me and my roommates for a little while. He would pretend to "haze" us and we could never keep from laughing at him. I remember one time that came in our room to mess with us and we just sat there and laughed at him. He said we had no respect for our superiors and "No Respect Corporal!!" became our new, special greeting for him. Even though I greeted him with this, he was one of the few people I truely respected with all of my heart. It was the little things he did that made my day so much better. Like seeing him in formation with his black running shoes with the shiney toes always made me laugh. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. CPL Miller is one of the greatest people I will ever meet and even though I only knew him for a few months, I am so very grateful that I got to know him at all. He has made a lasting impression on my life and I will never forget him. My deepest condolences and love to his family.
