Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Sean McCaffrey on February 5, 2002:
I had the pleasure of first getting to know Anthony Miller as fellow plebes back as Bulldogs in B-2. We both had the same team leader and I can remember the bond we formed quickly after having to get up early for FCDT everyday. I remember Anthony stopping at my room every morning, both of us usually in a frantic rush to memorize the meals before it was 630 and we had to be at our team leader's door. We usually wound up memorizing them, joking around and doing the usual, cracking jokes about our team leader who was responsible for us getting up early. I remember even on those mornings after a few hours of sleep or when I felt like crap, Anthony was always there with that smile or a joke to cheer you up. That's just the kind of guy he was. I have so many fond memories of him, I used to stop by his room usually ever night and I always left with a smile on my face and ready to burst out laughing as I walked back to my room. I remember the times he tried to organize dance parties in his room for the company to come dance they never really worked out as planned, but they sure were funny the times I showed up. Just typical Miller joking around and having fun. I remember the times we used to screw around in the hallways greeting each other with "Go Bulldogs" thinking we were funny when no upperclassmen were around. And well, we all remember Anthony's Army-Navy touchdown as a plebe, and all the other plays he made playing for Army. I remember being so excited as a plebe that Anthony and I were buds and he was doing so well. He made us all so proud. Anthony was nonstop happiness, I can't remember a time he ever got mad, he loved life, and lived it to the fullest. He brought happiness upon others, and I'll always remember him for that. He was a blessing bestowed upon all of us. Anthony thanks for everything, we'll miss you. God Bless! Sean
