Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jon Velazco on February 7, 2002:

Last semester, when I was having a tought time here, CPL Miller came to my room one night and asked me if I wanted to "bounce." I had no idea what he was talking about. I figured out he meant did I want to leave? I told him I kind of did. He sat there and talked to me for a long time. He didn't try and convince me to stay or go. He pointed out the pros and cons and told me a lot about himself. I will always remember that night because it was one of the defining moments of my Plebe year. I sometimes think that I wouldn't be here at the academy still if it wasn't for CPL Miller.
This is just one of the many experiences that I had with CPL Miller but I think it is one of the best examples of the kind of person he was. He took the time to help me when I didn't even ask for it.
Thank you Anthony Miller. You have forever changed me.
