Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Wally Rugen '89 on March 1, 2002:

Curt was a great friend. I worked with him since we both joined the 160th in the mid-90's. I remember a time when we worked on a major exercise together when we were Captains. He was always so thorough and confident, and this impressed me very much.
In 2000, we both found ourselves in command of forward based 160th units on the opposite ends of the world and talked, compared notes on what worked and what didn't constantly. He literally built E/160 from nothing, standing up that new unit through countless hours of work. He was an absolutely exceptional officer and leader. I learned so much from him, and the way he went about things. He will truly be missed but I will never forget him. He was a true patriot, who was true to our creed to the last. Night Stalker Don't Quit! Farewell my friend.
