Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Fred Goodenough on May 9, 2002:

Dan was my roommate for two years (Cow and Firstie). He was a true friend, ready to help anyone, especially with academic subjects. He also helped many of the Plebes who had troubles with the system. One of these Plebes was Rocky Versace. He was also an excellent academic coach, of which I can attest to for his great help with my many turnouts. I saw Dan after graduation a few times at his work in testing for the causes in hearing losses. He was very excited about his work. Three years ago, at the Graduate Seminar at West Point, we paid a visit to our old room 4511 and discovered it was being made into a Cadet Day Room. He enjoyed talking to the Cadets and his visit to West Point. Dan will be missed and we all learned from knowing him and being able to have served with him.
