A final salute to a fellow West Pointer from another Vietnam veteran who remembers well his friend and classmate. Bill and I were in the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Regiment for 4 years and I got to know him real well. I watched him grow to be a superb athlete, a brilliant student and an outstanding leader. He was also a deeply religious person and we sang in the Catholic Chapel Choir together. I knew he would go far in his military career and I was saddened to learn that he met an untimely end in Vietnam. I was stationed there too at that time but our paths never crossed.
