| I never knew Dustin at West Point or flight school, but I know the same danger he faced each time he strapped that Apache on his back. I'm flying Longbows in Germany now and know just how dangerous it can be each time we go up. In spite of the risk, I know he died doing something he loved. There's not an aviation lieutenant out there who won't tell you that being in the cockpit isn't the world's best job. Undoubtedly our country lost a soldier. 2000 lost a classmate. Army Aviators lost one of our own. May God bless his family as he watches over us now. |
