| I am proud to have known BG Meszar and his family in a very personal way. I was a year behind his son, Frank, at West Point and respected him as a Cadet and leader. After graduation and my own tour in Vietnam, I met his daughter, Sarah, while attending flight school at Hunter Stewart AAF. BG Meszar became a friend and mentor. I admired him as a West Point graduate, WW II hero, Officer, Sarah and Frank's father, and as a man. I am deeply saddened to learn he is no longer among us. I have often thought about him and his family. |
