Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jack Price '64 on January 3, 2003:

I don't suppose there's ever a good day to die, but having it come on New Year's Day, that time of annual beginnings, when our days finally start to lengthen from Winter's grasp, it doesn't seem right!

Meanwhile, Shirleigh is still in the ICU at Fairfax Hospital, recovering, but apparently stable for the moment. I went back and read the cyber Christmas Card they sent out, brimming with life and family news. They closed with " We look forward to hearing from you, and Lord willing, to seeing you in the coming year."

Frank is going to leave warm spots in many hearts. He and Shirleigh were frequent participants in many of our local West Point Society functions, be it Pig Roasts and Bluegrass, or Founders Day.

He always had an opinion, a twinkle in his eye, and Shirleigh at his side.. and a lot of friends clustered around him! He was a good man, lived an honorable life, and left it the better for having been here. We're glad we shared it with him.
