Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Robert Albritton on January 8, 2003:

I grew up across the street from "Uncle" Frank through the 70's and early 80's. He was always willing to talk with me when we were both outside working on the lawns and I will never forget his tirelessness in raking the gravel up the driveway every few months or so. He was always a teacher with humor. I will never forget having dinner across the street one time and having him say to me "Robbie, Robbie, strong and able, get your elbows off the table." I also remember being invited over to watch the "Winds of War" mini-series on television and sitting on the couch. I enjoyed catching up with him when I returned to Blacksburg for visits home. He was part of what made it home for me.

So many fond memories. I am truly sorry for your loss.
