Robert L. Drudik, 64, a retired Army major general who recently worked as a corporate executive with Integrated Design & Construction Inc. in Silver Spring, died December 29, 1997 at his home in Falls Church, Virginia, after a heart attack. General Drudik, who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1957, served 32 years in the Army, including two tours in Vietnam. He was severely wounded in one of those tours and received the Purple Heart. His other honors include the Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. General Drudik served with various combat and logistics units in both command and staff positions throughout his military career. At the time of his retirement in 1989, he was commander of the Army's Test and Experimentation Command at Fort Hood, Tex. General Drudik then settled in the Washington area and joined IDC as corporate officer and program director. There, he assisted in the design and construction of satellite projects. Survivors include his wife, Joanne Drudik of Falls Church; two stepsons, Brett H. Colter of Tacoma, Wash., and Clifford S. Colter of Albuquerque; and a brother.
