I had the honor of knowing and being around Ray for over 25 years. As classmates in adjacent 1st Regiment companies and as officers whose careers followed similiar paths through places like Hawaii, Georgia Tech, back to West Point, and during the Gulf War, I knew him to be, without fail, straight forward, honest, steady, dependable, loyal and friendly. I join many in mourning the passing of a man I was proud to know, serve with, call a classmate and count among my acquaintances. |
