Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Andy Lundbohm on March 17, 1998:

Every once in awhile we are blessed with meeting a falling star in all its glory. They slowly enter your life get bright and vanish just as quick as they came. They leave an impression on everyone in their presence.
Before I met him I knew him as this big mean tough hockey player. Then I met him off the ice and this couldn't have been further from the truth. In him I saw compassion for his family and the team that words may never be able to describe. When I first met him he wasn't loud he didn't force himself into the team. We got to know him and he was accepted as a coach, brother, and friend. We talked he always listened, he was always there for us, but the thing that I will get most out of knowing Hags is a simple lesson of what is actually important in life; it isn't fame, it isn't fortune; it is being happy, enjoying what you have, living life to the fullest and loving your family with all of your heart.
That to me was Hags.
Forever you will be missed.
