Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Veronica Fraatz on April 29, 1999:
To the Storch family, I knew Rex in high school. We were always very good friends, both being a part of the Camerata and Cantata groups. We also had fun together outside of school, also. I can't tell you how his death so deeply devastated me. I didn't go to his services because of time conflicts, and I have regretted this error ever since. I just want you to know that my heart and my love were with you and your family and most especially with Rex. For the longest time, I tried to make sense of what seemed like such a senseless thing. But I feel better knowing that he's up in heaven, on my side, watching over me and all the rest of us who were so blessed by his presence. I have come to peace with his being gone from this life because of the knowledge that I will see him in the next one. Until then, I look up at the stars on clear, dark nights and say prayers to the stars in the hopes that Rex will hear them and remember me, too.
Wishing you all the best, Veronica Fraatz Strath Haven, Class of '95
