Be Thou At Peace
Posted by C. Paul Colbert on October 27, 1998:
I knew Todd for just a few short months, but we hit it off right away. It was as though we were complete opposites, but something special formed between Todd and I. I can never recollect one time that we weren't together and didn't have a great time, for the simple fact that we were such good friends.
I'll always remember at Todd's Memorial Service, Jim Silliman said something that will always stick with me, you know, one of those little things that people never notice until it's gone. Todd's screen saver said "Big is Beautiful" and it meant so many things to me. I saw Todd for who he really was -- Big at heart. I've never known such a loving, caring person at Todd. Everyone he was around, he touched in a special way.
I'll never forget when I found out that Todd had been killed in a car accident. I was on my way back to the Academy and I just remember the snow on the sides of the road coming back from the airport. I hardly talked to anyone for a couple of days. It didn't really hit me until his Taps Vigil and I couldn't hold anything back after that.
I've thought of Todd so much since then. I think of how much an inspiration he still is to everyone. To all those Lacrosse players reading this, and to Todd Ian Prince in the mighty Heavens above, Long Live #25.
I miss you, TP.
