Be Thou At Peace

Posted by James E. Daniels on March 20, 2003:

Jim was one of the most enthusiastic people I have known. I didn't know him during our cadet days but met him at Fort Gordon for Signal Officers' Basic and again at Ft. Monmouth where he was an Aide de Camp for Gen. Myers. He had all the makings of a fine officer with a great future. He was bright, decisive and focused, but with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately not many of his classmates knew him well as he changed companies at least once and possibly twice. But, as a fellow Yard Bird, he had great stories about his experiences there. We were close friends and stayed in touch until his death. If anyone could extract the most out of life and his experiences, it was Jim. I still miss him deeply after all these years. He was an exciting person, a true seeker of God and a caring friend.
