James Francis Adamouski

West Point, 1995

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Rob Erlick on April 18, 2003:

CPT James (Jimmy) Adamouski, B Company 2-3 Aviation Regiment Commander, friend, husband to Meighan Adamouski, son and brother. He was due to rotate out of the war in May to prepare, with his wife, to begin his MBA at Harvard Business School, and then continue on to West Point, where he was to be appointed as a professor to the cadets. I?d known Jimmy since 2001, before we were deployed to Bosnia. We?d go for beer in O?Connels or The Bar Bar on weekends. He came to my wedding. He understood well the problems of his friends and soldiers and always kept his word. He kept humor among the troops and communicated the real-world concerns to everyone regularly. He was witty and very intelligent. No matter what was going on, he always took the time to help out the people in his life. He loved soccer and football, and we (B Company) played regularly in the early mornings. He was the star player, MVP. He was the best commander I had ever seen my 14 years of military service. He offered everything to the Army, his family, and his country.

To Captain Jimmy Adamouski and his B Company Brothers that went with him:
You will be missed, my brothers...with every reveille and every taps, you will be missed.
