Dan was one of those people you hope to know during your life. I consider myself lucky that we became friends at school, and unfortunate in that we didn't stay in better touch as life took us on different paths. His upbeat approach to everything he pursued made it clear to all that he was one of the good guys. While he may be gone now, the impact he made on many of us will not soon be forgotten. I am confident the best way to remember Dan is to think about all the times he made us laugh and the strength he showed in fighting the disease that ailed him. The lessons from both of these will go a long way in honoring his memory. Thanks, Monkey, for having been a great friend, person, and leader. You will be missed. |
