| I was saddened to hear about the death of Janet. She was always a happy-go-lucky woman who appreciated everything that she possessed and/or was given. She appreciated her classmates, friends and, I know, her beloved family. She expressed to me that she wanted to be the Battalion Sandhurst Officer. I knew many people who did not want this to happen; however, I felt that she deserved this honor. I went to Captain Gable and LTC Easter to help me secure this position she rightfully deserved. It happened and she became not only the Battalion Sanhurst Officer; but her Company (C-4) won the Best Team in USCC. Even Col. Siket was proud of this accomplishment (he was the USCC BTO). All teams from the Wild West preformed well and I know Janet had a lot to do with it. She was a great leader and officer who I know gave it all she had. May God bless Janet and my sympathy goes out to her family, friends,and classmates. I will see you again Janet (along with Andy (A-4) and Bill (B-4). I love and miss you all very much. |
