? BAYER, HAYDEN J., 78, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (May 29, 2003) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. He came here in 1987 from his native Bangor, Maine. He owned Byer Manufacturing Co. in Orono, Maine. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a 1948 graduate of the Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He was a member of the Dolphin Sailing Club in St. Petersburg and was president of a condominium association at Isla del Sol. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, June; four daughters, Susan Dressler, Springfield, Tenn., Melissa Bayer, Falls City, Wash., Lynne Lamphier, Concord, N.H., and Lisa Bayer, St. Petersburg; a brother, Arthur, South Natick, Mass.; and nine grandchildren. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.
