I just found out about Leif's tragic loss. Leif was a very dear friend in High School. Numerous times I ate dinner with his family, went out in our town of Aschaffenburg, sneaking out to drink beer late at night. We lost touch of each other after his first year at West Point, but I always remembered our friendship fondly. I will always remember Leif as a vibrant, intelligent, young man, devoted to God and eager to live life. The world is a sadder place without him. Capt John Hatzis, USAF |
