Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Eugene Deatrick on October 17, 2003:

I first met Pat when we worked together at Andrews AFB in 1972. It was immediately evident that this was a very unique officer. Later, when I learned that he was First Captain of his class, I could well understand the reasoning for that selection so early in his career. His concern for others, dedication, loyality, warrior spirit and complete honesty were ingrained traits that were never compromised. His physical presence in my daily life shall be deeply missed. His spirit and friendship shall always be with me. The example he exemplified in his career was of the highest credit to himself, to West Point and to the Long Gray Line. May he rest in peace.
