Be Thou At Peace

Several of us who work at La Canada High School have spent the last few days reflecting on Todd's time at LCHS. From Jim Harvey, his Sociology teacher, to Sue Hamre, Band Director, to Mary Jane Hufstedler and Mary Lou Langedyke. We are all very proud of Todd for pursuing his goals and serving his country. As a tribute, LCHS will be having a moment of silence after the flag salute on 11/7. Personally, I knew Todd form his band days at LCHS. He was one of the funniest students I know and talked several times about the honor of serving his country. I remember a time when Todd and the rest of tuba section asked to go to the SSMRC so they could watch tape of their performance. Needless to say, Todd had altered the tape (or swapped the tape) and they were watching something quite revealing. That is the Todd I will remember, the funny and mischeivious student and yet one very dedicated to his goals. I would like to send my condolences to the family and wish them all the best. |
