On behalf of the entire La Canada Unified school community, please accept our deepest sympathy and condolence. In conversation with my daughter Britta, a fellow classmate of Todd, I know this tragic news has hit the LCHS Class of 1998, in particular, extremely hard. So many of our kids have known each other and grown up together from early childhood through high school and beyond. Their e-mail and friendster.com accounts are incredibly active right now with shared stories and mutual expressions of shock and grief. We will have a moment of silence in memory of Todd at our November 18 Governing Board meeting. A scholarship in Todd's name is being set up through the Community Scholarship Foundation of La Canada. A local memorial service is being planned by members of the community. Our students, parents, teachers, staff, former classmates and governing board members are deeply saddened by this profound loss.
